Route Maps
Westermill Farm Camping requires that each Duke of Edinburgh group provides the route maps for each of its teams illustrating ingress to and egress from Westermill Farm.*
Please take into consideration that the information provided by these route maps may be shared with neighbouring property owners in the event that a gate is left open — along a route — which results in unintended livestock movement or other incovenience to the relevant landowner.
* Westermill Farm Camping appreciates that "ad hoc" changes to Duke of Edinburgh team route maps is a common occurence but nonetheless requires that alterations to routes be communicated in a timely fashion to Westermill Farm Camping.
Surety Bond
All Duke of Edinburgh groups must make payment of a £50 / £100 surety bond — per visit — in addition to their camping fees.
Repayment of the surety bond will be compromised IF Westermill Farm Camping determines that a Duke of Edinburgh group is found to be indisputably responsible for causing — ANY — of the following conditions:
Westermill Farm gates left open on a group's route
Duke of Edinburgh Loo Blocks left "unnecessarily" untidy *
Litter on a group's campsite
Use of recycling area
Failing to follow Westermill Farm Camp Guidelines
Student's use of the First Field Loo Block
If none of the above contingencies are applicable the surety bond will be refunded in due course after the group departs, pursuant to assessment of gates used in egress from Westermill Farm and environs included in the group's route maps.
* Photographic examples upon request
