Camping Covid-19 Protocols

Westermill Farm Camping Covid-19 Protocols 2020

Hello Everyone,

Please bear with us as you read through this document and apologies in advance if we sound too "officious" or "detail obsessed" but — like most of you — this is the first time that we have tried to prepare for a pandemic and we took our guidance from two considerations…

  1. We would err on the side of caution and

  2. We would count on your co-operation, your patience and your good sense

… no doubt we will all get through whatever "temporary hassles" there may be here on the Farm this visit, what with all our "rules" etc., and we hope that we will all get through the much bigger hassles back in the "real world" later.

Jill and Oliver Edwards

General Conditions

  • First, if you have a confirmed case or if you are exhibiting the most common signs and symptoms of coronavirus infection, (which are fever, dry cough, and shortness of breath), please let us know as soon as possible and we will re-accommodate your booking.

  • Please DO NOT arrive at Westermill for your holiday with these symptoms, as we will NOT be able to honour your booking.

  • Central government, National Health Service and Public Health England mandates and guidelines — published in the public domain — must be adhered to by visitors at all times while on Westermill Farm.

  • The Westermill Campsite protocols are intended to augment the currently accepted guidelines of best practice to help reduce the risks posed by Covid-19 and are "site specific" to Westermill Farm.

  • Links to some of the references for the mandates and guidelines followed by Westermill Farm can be found in the Appendix: Mandates and Guidelines, below.

Bookings

  1. For the 2020 Camping Season Westermill will ONLY accept Online Bookings

  2. Payment must be made IN FULL before arrival preferably by bank transfer (BAC)

  3. Names of ALL campers must be provided in the online booking form and the person submitting this form must be able and willing to provide all their contact details for possible use by NHS TRACK and TRACE

  4. ONLY campers listed on a booking form will be permitted on the campsite

  5. NO Day Visitors

  6. NO campers may be "added" to the booking after submitting it without prior approval from Westermill Farm before arrival

Campsite

  1. Tents and vehicle dispositions must conform to currently accepted social distancing mandates and guidelines

    • To the degree which Westermill Campsite is able, we will endeavour to maintain a generally "reduced occupancy" level — site wide — to facilitate social distancing

  1. Children
must remain with their family unit and most definitely when visiting
the Loo Block to ensure hand sanitising, hand washing and currently
accepted social distancing mandates and guidelines are followed.

    • We are parents ourselves and realise how "adventurous" children
can be, and how difficult it is to supervise them on holiday; all
we ask is that you do your best to assure the safety of others in a
manner equal to the security you wish to provide for your own
      children.

  1. We ask that campers do not come to the farm house or farmyard unless
they are in need of assistance or help.

    • In particular we ask that campers not congregate in the farmyard to
      access WiFi

  1. Our farm dogs are friendly and love meeting people but we ask that
campers and their children do not touch or stroke them — either
in their kennels or around and about. If JASPER (who most of you are familiar with) comes to the campsite — please just try not to touch him.

    • And — believe us — nobody is sadder about this than our dogs
